I am pleased you stopped by so that I can introduce you to Beccak Digital Arts and Weddings. I’m proud of what I have to offer this season. I started becca K. Digital Arts and Weddings (Formerly known as 4 Corners Photography and Video) out of my love of sentiment and memory preservation. I am known to have a flare for presenting evocative imagery; be it telling a story with the perfect variety of photographs, sequencing video footage with romantic harmony, or matching pictures with just the right frame.
After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography and sculpture from Wayne State University in 1996, I went on to study filmmaking. I freelanced as a photographer and set fabricator in Art Departments for eight years within the Detroit community, including Cranbrook Art Museum, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and Prop Art Studio. Later, I took a job as Senior Video Editor at Michigan's largest retail furniture store - Art Van. Today when I am not capturing memories or out on a photo shoot, I’m planning lessons, teaching, and doing research. Since September 2010, I accepted a position as Instructor of Visual Imaging Technology at the Traverse Bay Area ISD, Career-Tech Center. Artistry, teaching, and mentoring are my number one passions at this point in my life’s journey. I am fortunate to share my knowledge and experience in graphic design, photography, video, printmaking, and fine art with young, talented students. My philosophy is to practice what you preach – or in my case teach! So I am very passionate about taking a select few clients this season.
I have been artfully documenting weddings and taking portraits since 1994. I grew up on the East Side of Detroit and now live in Northern Michigan where I enjoy it’s ideal backdrop for an unforgettable wedding or portrait session. |
